Sound matters. Always has. Even in my commercial work, I’ve never treated audio as an afterthought. Music, sound design, voice—these are half the experience, and I’ve always fought to get them right. That instinct to give sound equal weight is probably why this kind of work—closer to the source, deeper in collaboration—has always felt so natural. It’s more instinctive. Less about solving problems, more about finding something that feels true.
There’s something more personal about the work in this section, which is why I felt it necessary to give it its own category. Often the visuals are hand-drawn or illustrated, textured, and tactile—designed to be held, felt, and kept. And because I interpret a given artist’s music consistently in tone and style, the work often forms a kind of visual grammar that connects albums, posters, merchandise, and marketing into a cohesive whole. In some cases, that grammar becomes part of the artist’s brand—proof that a brand isn’t what you say it is, but what you build over time.
All of the projects here began independently, outside agency walls. Many have grown into long-term collaborations built on trust, shared taste, and a love of doing the work.
Design that listens as deeply as it sings. These three levers reflect a way of working rooted in trust, interpretation, and long-form collaboration. Together, they show how symbolism, cultural insight, and visual authorship create connection—and carry the work forward with clarity and meaning.
